REAL JOY CANNOT BE FULLY DESCRIBED

☺ Everyday, I practice laughter-what I teach. And it works. ☺

People may ask you: “Why are you happy? Why are you joyful and laugh?" Answer: “Why not?"

Real joy cannot be fully described. It is the Divine Love that is inside of us all. When we re-focus on love and unity with others, and not on un-love, then we have forgiveness and are One.

It is a real joy to hear many personal stories. So many people have found healing with Laughter Yoga, including:

• A spouse caring for her husband with Alzheimer’s finds laughter, faith and joy again.

• A mentally/physically challenged adult who rarely talks- Laughs and speaks sentences!

• A woman finds joy & laughter after her divorce. She now sees forgiveness and joy from God’s perspective. She wants her former husband to be happy. She is happier herself, and then found a boyfriend.

• A Vietnam Veteran, who had a drug/alcohol addiction, and many physical maladies, tells me he forgives the person who mistakenly wounded him. With great laughter, he tells me laughter, faith and his friends saved his life.

• A Brooklyn woman attending a mental health clinic, said her psychoanalyst never made her laugh in 7 years of therapy. She said he was ‘too serious,’ and did not understand Laughter Yoga, and did not want to try it. She now feels joy and freedom, and wants to teach it to others.

• A woman’s husband of many years suddenly passed away. Her family and friends wonder why she is laughing, and not a miserable, unhappy person. The reason is because this woman has the perspective of faith, joy, laughter and the knowledge that in reality, there is no separation, In love.

While living in New York City, I thought of this equation:

My pain/joy + Your pain/joy = Healing

= It means we can share our problems together, and find trust/comfort in knowing that we are all in this life together, imperfect, in need of healing.

FAQ'S ABOUT LAINIE's CLASSES:

What is Laughter Yoga, and do I need to ARRIVE or BE in a happy/laughing/smiling/good mood? Answer: No.

It doesn't matter what mood you are in- sad or happy- or if you have no sense of humor at all. ALL emotions/moods are expressed through the breathing exercises. We are not just laughing ;)

LAUGHTER YOGA: (Sometimes called Laughing Yoga/Laughter/play therapy) is for ALL! It is both FUN and THERAPEUTIC.

*Lainie's classes are about 30/35 minutes of simple exercises for all, followed by rest/Any Q&A's/Health benefits talk time.

At every class there are new & repeated exercises anyone of any age and ability can do. 3 to 103 years old!

• There are no on-the-floor exercises, group physical-contact exercises, or difficult contortions.
• You may sit in a chair if unable to stand/prefer, and you Move at your own pace.
• No Yoga Mats or special exercise clothing are needed, so you may do this during or right after your work day.
• There is no 'right or wrong' way to do it. It is non-competitive/judgmental.
• There is no joke-telling, and it’s not an entertainment/comedy routine- just easy Breathing movement exercises for all.
• Bring water to drink if you would like.
• Children are welcome accompanied by an adult/guardian.

• It is a unique exercise routine developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria. He began it in 1995 with just 5 people. Today there are over 10,000 Laughter Yoga groups worldwide.
